This president is doing everything in his power to act on his contempt for this country's security, economy, energy, cheap food supply, military, Constitution, privacy, traditions, and our historical way of life in general.  He is an America-hater, a person who thinks America's place as the Golden City in the Sky needs to be downgraded to Slum in the Dump.  He is doing everything he can to bring that about.  His actions are plain and there to see, to anyone who can see that the emperor has no clothing.  He has as his enablers and accomplices many in the liberal establishment in congress, and leading the department of justice.  Prosecuting him for crimes and misdemeanors will be difficult without the help of the department of justice, and you can bet they will not cooperate.

That Racist Rant - a Perspective

When is a Private Conversation Public?

The owner of the LA Clippers NBA basketball team allegedly said some pretty unpleasant things recently.  You've probably heard about it - he allegedly told his free-spirited girlfriend to be racially selective about who she brings into his presence.  The NBA is investigating.  Obama has chimed in, half-cocked as usual.  People are shocked.  His players are p.o.'ed, since most of them are black and those that aren't are offended on behalf of their black team mates.  

He allegedly said it to her during a private telephone conversation.  The word 'allegedly' is used because the jury is still out on whether the recording has been altered, and if it has been, how much.  

Who among us has not said something offensive during what we had reason to believe was a private conversation?  Who among us might be vulnerable to career termination if some of our words are altered and then used out of context?

How many of us would like to see and hear our private conversations, altered or not, on the 5 o'clock news?

Are important business people not entitled to expect a reasonable level of personal privacy?

Aren't there laws that make recording and broadcasting someone's telephone conversations without their consent illegal?  The feds and local police need warrants to be able to do that.  Did the person who recorded and broadcast this conversation have the necessary authority and a warrant?  Your ostrich killer doubts it.  And your ostrich killer wonders why he is the only one asking these questions.

So I don't care what he said.  In fact, I don't care what most people say.  I only care what they do.  But I am offended by the breach of his personal privacy.

Putin's Plan

Reboot the Soviet Union

There it is.  That's his plan.  He has correctly assessed that no one - not the US, not NATO, not the European Union - is willing to do what's necessary to stop him from re-capturing those 14 nations that broke away from the Soviet Union when the Soviet Union fell in 1991.

Put another way, his plan is to conquer 14 sovereign nations, and he is sure no one will stop him.  The worst that will happen is that there will be stern rhetoric, economic sanctions, and maybe even military training exercises in European nations and perhaps an ocean or two.  But nothing more.

How can he be so sure?

1.  Obama and his 'more flexibility one he's re-elected.'

2.  He controls the gas / oil aorta of Europe.  If Europe begins to act belligerent, he cuts off their gas. This is why your Ostrich Killer thinks that the takeovers of eastern European countries other than the Ukraine won't get into high gear until November of 2014, when the citizens of Germany and Austria and all those other eastern European  countries will need Russian oil and natural gas for home heating.  His threat: don't intervene unless you want to freeze.  Imagine what the citizens of eastern Europe will choose.

3.  The state of military readiness in those 14 countries is woeful, meaning they cannot meaningfully resist Russian invasions - meaning that the mere threat of such invasion may be enough to topple the still-emerging freedom of those countries.

4.  NATO unwillingness to expedite membership to those Europe-bordering countries that want membership - this out of concern for 'worrying' Russia.

To those Americans who don't know history, take a moment to review the legacy of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain.  Yes, I know that it's futile to remind Americans, most of whom are living proof that all we really learn from history is that we don't learn from history.

In short summary, Putin knows that no one is willing to go to war over any of those 14 countries, so he can safely consider them ripe cherries for the picking.

Another Russian Invastion

Another Czechoslovakia?

Hungary, 1956.  Czechoslovakia, 1968.  Afghanistan, 1979.

And now, in 2014, Ukraine.

What are the lessons?

1.  The Soviet Union is dead, but Russia is still Russia.

2.  Russia can invade and the west will wring their hands and sit on their asses.

3.  It doesn't matter what the nations bordering Russia WANT as their government; it only matters what Russia wants for them to have.

4.  The west can no longer be trusted help any struggle for freedom.

5.  The Russians know this, and are going to take advantage of our Anointed One's foreign policy illiteracy to attempt to rebuild the Soviet empire.  Ukraine is the breadbasket of Europe - so where better to start?

6.  Our Charismatic Ruler and his Alfred E. Neuman-like lickspittle enablers will continue to disarm America unilaterally, without regard to global threats, to below pre-WW2 levels so that even if we'd like to help, we won't be able to.  Even the defense of our shores and cities may not be feasible soon.

I'm beginning to believe our founding fathers fatally over-estimated the intelligence of the American electorate.  The evidence is overwhelming.

BENGHAZI AGAIN

Where Are the Survivors?

Has anyone heard from a single one of the people who survived the attack on Benghazi?

Does anyone know where even one of these survivors is?

Has there been testimony from a single one of them before a Congressional committee of any sort?

Does anyone even know the names of a single one of the survivors?

Doesn't it seem logical that some of these survivors should have said SOMETHING to SOMEONE?

I heard the other day, from one of those frothing-at-the-mouth wild-eyed right wing radical radio hosts, that FEMA is building 'camps' complete with guard towers and barbed wire.

DHS (Department of Homeland Security) has ordered about 2 billion rounds of ammunition and 2,700 mine-resistant personnel carriers.

Neither DHS nor FEMA is constrained by Posse Comitatus laws.

Two and two results in an uncomfortable sum.

Finally, ask yourself the basic question of who benefits from silencing the survivors.  Remember that His Imperial Majesty has not accounted for his whereabouts nor his decisions, if any, during that situation, and that Hillary was his Secretary of State and involved up to her eyebrows.  Then vote accordingly at the next election.

JUST SAY NO

Executive Orders and You

His Imperial Majesty, the Anointed One, Barack Hussein Obama has announced that since the Congress is proving to be obstinate, he will rule the country via executive orders.  This is despite being advised that the power of his orders is questionable, especially when they amount to legislation - in effect, he is assuming the role of both executive and legislator.  A clear violation of the separation of powers specified in the Constitution.  

He and Eric Holder (his pet attorney general) have announced that some laws - they get to decide which ones - will not be enforced.

Huh?  They can pick and choose which laws have the power of law?

Okay.  They've set the precedent, so here is a logical extension of that sort of thinking:  they can decide which laws to enforce, I can decide which laws to obey.  Seems fair, doesn't it?  Of course it does.

And since Obama cannot constitutionally legislate, I can safely ignore his executive orders.  They lack legal authority.

So if you don't like a law or two, ignore them.  Ditto executive orders.  Just say no.

What's wrong with this logic?  You decide and let me know.

Breathtaking Arrogance and Ingenuousness!

Assad Promises Asymmetrical Responses

Kerry promises an "unbelievably small" strike.  Assad warns us to "expect anything" if we do strike.

I don't think Assad has in mind a military-style response.  My experience and observation is that when a dictator has his back to the wall - which Assad does, with just the rebels - he uses other ways to strike his enemies, ways that go by the general name of asymmetric warfare.  Watching the interview he gave, it's clear to me that he was saying exactly that.

No one in official position has told this to the press, or if they have the press hasn't covered it.  But you know your Ostrich Killer will, so here's a list of asymmetric possibilities:

Kidnappings of families of diplomats, government employees, and service members world-wide, probably topped off by HD video beheadings, to be broadcast on CBS and Al Jazeera.  Iran-proxy army hezbollah striking Israeli cities with chemicals, which Assad will supply if hezbollah doesn't already have them.  The Arab middle east uniting behind anyone striking Israel ("My family and I against our neighbors, my neighbors and I against strangers,") which means an Iran-Syria led general war of extinction with Israel.  Israel has nukes.  Do you think Israel will go quietly into the night?  Do you think they will spare any arab target?  

And that's just for openers.  Ask yourself what the sponsors of those countries will do to assist them.

Asymmetric warfare can quickly explode globally, warfare fueled emotionally by videos of panicked and crying blond-haired children begging for their mommas while hooded arabs saw off their heads.

That's one type of asymmetric warfare.  Use your imagination to come up with others.  Wives and daughters kidnapped and used to produce prime-time rape-and-snuff videos?  Sure.  Mall massacres?  Expect them.  Same for schools and churches.  Anything you can imagine is either being considered or is already planned. 

The Obama regime thinks they can conduct a strike and suffer - or trigger - no consequences, not even asymmetric ones.

These people are worse than dreamers, they are arrogant and stupid and believe in their own invulnerability, and are going to get a lot of people killed. And for what?  To keep our enemies from killing each other? 

Brain dead, the entire lot of them.

That's not news to you, of course, my gentle readers.

GEN. PETRAEUS HAS ARRIVED - EVERYONE ELSE CAN GO HOME

For those of you who haven't read my blog of December 3, 2009, or if you've forgotten it, take a moment to look at it. Especially the part about 'What the Taliban Heard.'

My hat is off to Gen. Petraeus for seeing his duty and stepping up. Gen. McChrystal was rightly relieved of command - he probably saluted and said "You don't know how relieved I am, Sir" when departing the Oval Office - and both poser-in-chief Obama and his lapdog congress rushed to thrust Gen Petraeus into his now empty traces.

But what is Gen Petraeus's actual duty? Is it victory? Is it pacification? Is it casualty minimization? Road and school building? No, it is none of those things. And he knows it. He knows that he has been sent over to Afghanistan so that, eventually, Mr. Impeachable can point a finger at him and say "We sent our finest officer to command our forces, and still we couldn't succeed. That proves the battle is futile and it's time to pull our sons and daughters out of there." Yes, Gen. Petraeus failure will be the proverbial final straw. He knows he is to be thrown under the bus.

Never mind that he will be deprived of the resources he needs. Never mind that he is hamstrung with a time certain withdrawal scheme, developed without regard to military or political objectives by a party wholly invested in defeat. Never mind that he and his forces are emasculated with rules of engagement (You did read my December 3 column, right?) so stringent that scarcely a trigger can be pulled without landing an American in jail.

But Gen. Petraeus will do his best. That's his nature, and he'll do it. A pity that his best needs ammo and equipment and troops and intelligence. He won't be getting those things, because if he did he might actually pull off a victory of sorts. But our leadership on the left side of the aisle and in the Oval Office yearn for defeat, are clamoring for defeat, are universally predicting defeat, so they will carry out any unworthy deception - including lying to the American electorate - to bring about our defeat.

Makes one wonder how they can even lay claim to the title "American." I salute the General, I flip off the poser-in-chief and the sorry leadership of the left in congress and say to them that they are not fooling everyone.

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE (AGAIN) - The Clown Show Goes On.

That's 'Again' because on October 22, 2007, I posted a blog entry titled "THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE IS A CLOWN SHOW." You can read it at your leasure.

But this latest winner says it all. In ten years we have winners Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, and now Barack Hussein Obama. What did any of them do to promote peace? Where's Ronald Reagan (Ending the cold war and helping bring down the Berlin wall), George H.W. Bush (who liberated Kuwait), George W. Bush (who liberated Iraq and ended, at least for a decade or more, that regime's support of global terrorism), or - if you'd like a liberal candidate - Bill Clinton, who bombed Christians so that Muslims could prevail in Bosnia / Kosovo? Not saying this latter was necessarily a bad thing, but the dispassionate history has yet to be written about it.

Still. Peace? More immediately, what has Barack Hussein Obama done to promote peace? Anything at all? Can anyone point to something? Because I confess, folks, that your friendly Ostrich Killer can't think of anything, unless you count dissing our former allies and cozying up to our enemies. But maybe you can. If so, leave a comment. If you're thinking of referring to the Nobel committee's specifics to come up with a reason or two, good luck. You'll be blinded by their obfuscatory rhetoric. But then, English is probably their second language . . .

Obama's Credentials and Compadres

Okay, this is another bit of public thinking about B. Hussein Obama, would-be President of the United States, the most powerful country in the world.

What qualifies him?
. 143 days in the US Senate, during which he left few fingerprints, fewer footprints, and obviously no legacy - unless you count speech making, international travel and one brain-dead internet law a legacy. From Wikipedia - "He is the only Senate member of the Congressional Black Caucus.[52] CQ Weekly, a nonpartisan publication, characterized him as a "loyal Democrat" based on analysis of all Senate votes in 2005–2007, and the National Journal ranked him as the "most liberal" senator based on an assessment of selected votes during 2007.[53][54]"

. Illinois State Senator, 1997 - 2004. Primary contributions? From Wikipedia - "He sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare.[29] In 2001, as co-chairman of the bipartisan Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, Obama supported Republican Governor Ryan's payday loan regulations and predatory mortgage lending regulations aimed at averting home foreclosures,[30] and in 2003, Obama sponsored and led unanimous, bipartisan passage of legislation to monitor racial profiling by requiring police to record the race of drivers they detained and legislation making Illinois the first state to mandate videotaping of homicide interrogations.[29][31]"

If you're impressed, you're easily impressed. See any foreign affairs credentials up there? See any international relations credentials? See any proof that he even has a map, or knows how to use Google Earth? No. What you see is a history of giving money away, racial politics, and making policework more difficult. But that should be no surprise.

Compadres
How about his compadres? You know, the birds of a feather with whom he chooses to flock. Here's a short list:
1. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. of Trinity United Church of Christ. If you don't know who he is, you probably haven't paid attention to politics in the last few months. Dr. Wright is Obama's pastor, and has been for about twenty years. He married Obama and his wife. He baptized their children. Here is an excerpt from Dr. Wright's church Statement of Faith, lifted directly from their home page: "Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community."

Now, that ought to raise the hairs on the back of your neck, especially in view of the more widely reported invective of Dr. Wright ("God DAMN America," etc.) Consider what an uproar such a statement as above, posted to a different Church website, would cause if it substituted the words German for African, White for Black. See? The word 'RACIST' and even 'NAZI' would pop to mind, correct? What's different for Obama's pastor? Birds of a feather?

2. Louis Farrakahn - Endorses Obama. Isn't that enough? No? Then how about Louis Farrakahn receiving the Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. (Yes, that's Pastor Wright, see 1. above) Trumpeter Award? As part of the glowing rhetoric attached to the award, it called Farrakahn a man who "truly epitomized greatness." Greatness? Most Americans consider Farrakahn a racist, anti-Semitic militant black rabble rouser. If you're not familiar w/ Farrakahn's public pronouncements, Google them. But of interest here is the link between Wright, Farrakahn, and Obama. Birds of a feather?

3. William C. Ayers is a friend of Obama's. You may know Mr. Ayers better as a member of the Weathermen terrorist group which sought to overthrow of the U.S. government and took responsibility for bombing the U.S. Capitol in 1971. Mr. Ayers has admitted his part, and has on several occasions said publicly he regrets only that he has not blown up more buildings. He and Obama worked together to help fund a group that has made statements supportive of Palestinian terror and reportedly has worked on behalf of the Palestine Liberation Organization while it was involved in anti-Western terrorism. The group, the Arab American Action Network, or AAAN, was labeled by the State Department as a terror group. Birds of a feather?

American voters either already know all the above, or have a good sensing of it from various sources. And that is why I predict McCain in a 50-state sweep. But maybe that's for another day's discussion. Your Ostrich Killer is going to lunch.

Obama and Mrs. Bill Clinton Ticket - A Sure Thing (for Dems)

Wow, long time since I posted last. But this topic has been nibbling at me and probably you too for months, and so now that the other shoe is about to drop, it's time to do the math and predict the Dems presidential ticket.

Over 50% of Mrs. Bill Clinton voters polled recently declared they would not vote for Obama if he is the Democratic candidate for president. That's a huge chunk, folks. And Obama voters are only slightly more kind toward Mrs. Bill Clinton. If it's true, that means McCain, a RINO popular among less-than-hardcore Dems, is a shoo-in. The Democratic National Committee is in a panic, or should be, over this situation. What to do?

Obviously, the thinking goes, some of those angry voters might reconsider and cast their votes if they see their preferred nominee on the ticket as a VP candidate. Even so, this will lose tons of votes from Dems, but far fewer than might potentially be lost if only one of them is on the ticket. And if you're a staunch Dem, every vote is important. So the math is easy: you'll see and hear lots of discussion and posturing about who might make a good Democratic vice president, but in the end, given Obama's lead in primary delegates now, the ticket will be Obama and Mrs. Bill Clinton. The math says more votes is better than fewer. Duh.

Yeah, the Ostrich Killer knows the Obamas and Mrs. Bill Clinton hate each others' guts. But as one wag once said, politics makes strange bedfellows. Besides, neither of them will have anything to say about who the VP nominee will be - the DNC will shove them each down each others' throats in a frantic effort to salvage every last vote.

Get used to the idea. And you read it here first. Ostrich Killer out.

OPRAH ENDORSES OBAMA

"I've never endorsed anyone before," she says. "I'm endorsing him because I know him personally and know what he stands for." Those quotes are really paraphrases. If you want exact quotes, google for 'oprah endorse obama' and get them yourself.

Okay, that out of the way, let's examine her endorsement.

First, she knows him personally. Okay, that's fine. Not sure why it's enough to make her finally come out and endorse someone officially, but still. She's entitled to back someone she knows. If someone I knew and liked ran, I might do the same.

Next, though, she 'knows what he stands for.' Okay, Oprah. What, specifically, does he stand for? You didn't mention anything. Let us know. Don't be nebulous and evasive. Stand up! Speak out! Tell us which of his stances on what issues especially resonate with you. Share your insights with the rest of us. After all, it isn't quite sufficient (except, perhaps, to members of your book club) to simply say that you like what he stands for. That isn't exactly a ringing endorsement to critical-thinking voters, who might want a little more meat on the bleached bones of a non-specific statement.

Okay, by now it's clear to everyone that I don't hold Oprah's political acumen in high regard. Her business sense, yes. Politics, no.

Lastly, let me pose a question: Is it mere coincidence that the only viable black candidate on the Democratic ticket ever receives the endorsement of the world's most widely known black woman? Lest I be labeled a white racist for even raising the question, let me propose a mental model: Let's say that Jesse Jackson is running and has won a primary or two. He's viable. He's gonna get votes. In this model, does Oprah endorse him? You decide.

Let's cut to the chase. If your answer is 'probably,' doesn't that mean that Oprah's criteria for qualification includes skin color? Think about it. All these years, all these white candidates. No endorsement. Along comes ONE viable black candidate, and she endorses.

Do you believe in coincidences? If so, I have this bridge in Brooklyn I'm trying to unload at a reasonable price.

Okay, I'll say it. If it looks racist, and walks like a racist, and talks like a racist, then it's possible that it is a racist. Oprah, honey babe, you've been called out. At the very least we have the appearance of racism. At some point you're going to have to produce some reasonable justification for your sudden eagerness to endorse a political candidate who happens to share your skin color.

Sayin' it like I see it, your friendly Ostrich Killer goes back to sleep . . .
